Sandhills
Horticultural Gardens
In
1978 the Sandhills Horticulture Gardens were established
with the birth of the Ebersole Holly Garden.
Today this garden is the largest accessible holly
collection on the East Coast with a collection of 28
holly species. Enjoy an afternoon walk as paths
take you through 9 equally beautiful gardens.

Carolina Zoological Park
With
more than 500 acres in its African and North American
continental regions, the N.C. Zoo is a great place of wonder and
discovery. It is the country's largest and finest
walk-through natural-habitat zoo. Located

include polar bears, elk, elephants,
gorillas, giraffes, zebras, and dozens of tropical

pottery as North Carolina. Seagrove, N.C., just a
few miles NW of Pinehurst, is one of the
largest communities of working potters in the
United States. At the Pottery Center you'll find
an excellent representation of the diverse styles and
techniques offered throughout the region. |
