The
Historic Theater Building
Built in 1922 at a cost of $80,000 the
"Theatre" opened Feb. 23, 1923 to a glittering
audience of Pinehurst elite. The handsome
structure on the corner of Chinquapin and Village Green
West was primarily built for the Silver Screen, with
complete stage equipment and facilities for live
productions. Today the Historic building remains
hexagonal in shape and is home to some of the finest
shops in Pinehurst Village.

Harness Track & Fair Barn
The Fair Barn built
in 1917 as an exhibition hall for the Sandhills Fair.
The 110+ acre harness track complex is the oldest continuously operating
equine sports facility in North Carolina. Events
include annual spring Matinee Races, horse shows and
polo matches. |

fans enjoy the speed of racing during spring and fall
events at "The
Rock". Located just 25 miles south of
Aberdeen the track is host to both Busch & Winston Cup Series

The hospital has served the Sandhills region for over 66
years providing quality care to a 14 county region.

professional staff of nearly 2,000 and more than 500
